Pretty cool, aside from the very International Male pic of the webmaster in a wet white shirt on a beach. :) Seriously, though, good for him.

For what it's worth, I'm proud to say my former home of 10 years, Douglas County, was the only county in the entire state where a majority voted against the amendment.

This government homophobia now seems to be spreading to visitors. Last Monday (4th) my partner and I (of 25 years) arrived at JFK from the UK for a 4 day visit. We've been to NYC several times before and gone through immegration together. This time - no - we were made to go through individually. What made it worse was that we had travelled with an old friend of mine and his wife, who were, of course, allowed through together. We'll see what happens next time which will probably be after we've registered our partnership in the fall.

Sadly, I think a lot of the people who are motivated enough actively deny those rights probably WOULD want the government to bans the show, too.

Wow. I'm also from Kansas. The page hit home for me. It's just become to hard to defend the state I was raised in and loved so much. It's similar to living with abuse. You try to justify it and hold on to the love, but in the end you either acknowledge that it's fucking you up and leave, or go crazy.
Good for Daniel for acknowledging the abuse.

Personally, I haven't caused a single straight marriage to break up. Straight people have been very successful in that regard on their own, they haven't asked for my assistance. I'll be glad when the pendulum swings back and the American people get sick and tired of social conservatives telling them how to live their lives.
