From this week’s New Yorker: The best that can be said for Bush’s sudden call for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage is that, on some level, he seems ashamed of it.

It’s possible, though apparently he’s not enough ashamed of it to let it trump political expediency.

So much for not believing ”in politicizing people’s sexual orientation.”
