From the Washington Times (yeah, I know): Privacy’s Rebirth.

From Slate: Abolish Marriage.

  1. I whole heartedly endorse the abolition of government sanctioned marriage. As long as marriage bestows certain rights and responsibilities upon two people regarding their lives, those denied marriage due to orientation are being discriminated at the most fundamental level.

The right calls marriage a sacred institution. The word sacred is defined as “of or relating to religion”. Last time I checked, separation of church and state was still in the constitution and the law of the land. If marriage is seen as a religious institution the government has no business sanctioning a religious practice.
