Distrust

From the Times:

“There is distrust in Washington. I am surprised, frankly, at the amount of distrust that exists in this town,” Bush said. “And I’m sorry it’s the case, and I’ll work hard to try to elevate it.”

Sounds about right.

I think we misunderestimated this President. We all mocked him and called him a hypocrite when he said he would be a uniter, not a divider, but now just 6 short years into his presidency 72% of Americans think he’s doing a bad job, so…actually, that’s pretty unified.

A friend gave me a present this holiday season of a calendar with a quote of Bush for each day. OMG! We hear and read these quotes and laugh at them….but to see it on a daily basis underscores why education matters.

And by “education,” deke, we don’t mean a Harvard MBA, which clearly comes way too late for some people.
