Here’s a map of many of the locations in AMC’s TV series “Mad Men,” which recently concluded its first season.

I totally got into this show. Did any of you watch it? What did you think?

3 drops of oil

  1. Are they seriously suggesting that something worthy of TV took place in OSSINING?

TV usually requires a suspension of disbelief, but that’s absurd.

I’m going to guess nothing was actually filmed up here, because otherwise our mayor and board of trustees would have been gushing about it for weeks.

  2. I’ve never watched Mad Men, but my co-worker’s sister has a small recurring role in the show. I hear it’s great.

  3. Have never really viewed many TV drama series but am hooked completely on MAD MEN. My career really started with the 1960 time frame and I interfaced with Madison Ave. ad types most of the time. The depiction of these advertising folks is amazingly accurate. I recall them as attractive, intelligent, cynical,
and creative people. Image was everything in more ways than you can imagine.Mad Men captures the characters and morades of that time in an almost eerily way. While I think the depiction of smoking is a bit overdrawn it was fairly pervasive nonetheless.Don Draper, played exquisitely by Jon Hamm is a brilliant , complex and tormented man. Its as if in his world of creating ads he became an ad himself. A superb series !
