You know what’s weird? Every Democratic presidential candidate who has lost a general election since 1972 is still alive. George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, John Kerry — all are still alive.
I’m envisioning some big forum or parade of Democratic losers somewhere. Maybe held at some university think tank and aired on C-SPAN.
(I’m sure some snarky Republican wants to add to that total.)
You know what’s even more weird, at least for me, is that if Obama is elected, for the first time in my life I’ll be older than the president. How did that happen?
But the strange thing is I would watch it…..probally even enjoy it…..
Are the Republicans also? I mean Bob Dole and (hopefully soon) John McCain are robots, so I don’t think they’ll ever die…
Well, among the Republicans who’ve lost in that time: Ford is dead, George H.W. Bush is still alive, Dole is still alive.
